About TCP, TCP music and who knows what else

TCP has been founded in 1997, when Szaszem borrowed a Technics KN1000 synthesizer. He recently bought his first PC having a Sound Blaster card, and started to explore the all-new world of computer music making. With Cool Edit 96 he could do never heard things and he liked it :) He wrote some trance tunes with no vocals, but he thought it would be more popular if he could have a singer. So he borrowed one... from the MC's Factory, Transylvania's very first rap band. And because he thought about the show too, he invited two dancers to his first gig on August 30th, 1997. One of the dancers was Kati K. Szaszem told that he need a singer and Kati K went to a test sing. It was good, they had a gig on a big beauty contest in face of 1300 people, it was good too, so they decided to continue.

Their very first album went out in 1998, only on compact cassette. It has success, so their next album was printed on CD too in 2000. On that album they had two English tunes, but they were not so popular because people in Transylvania expected some Hungarian music. So they made no more English songs until 2005, when Szaszem wrote Sunshine in your eyes. It was a big hit at the radios that played it, one time staying 16 weeks on tops. Another English song was written for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, but they didn't know one thing: no relations - no Eurovision. This song was Heaven, you can hear it on their first all-English album in its original state as it was prepared for the song contest.

One more Hungarian album was released in 2004, because in 2005 romanian law changes put an interdiction on copied CDs in commerce (it was not profitable to make CDs in factory, because they live in Romania on a Hungarians populated territory and they could sell only a few CDs - Hungary never lets them in). After this, TCP songs were available only by internet, on their website, totally free. They went on gigs with two dancers and this way popularized their music. In 2010 they had the opportunity to make an english album to international scenes. This way comes out To The Maximum - you can buy it now.

Kati K in TCP Kati K

As one of the most known singer in Transylvania, she has nine albums until this moment. This album, "To The Maximum" is her 10th album. Her older albums were recorded in Hungarian. She started to sing in 1997, right in this formation. People always loved her for her crystal-clear voice, and not just for it: she never had star behaviors, always is a direct, lovable and straightforward person. She sung at home since she was a child, but never learned at a sing school. Once she took sing lessons, but after 5 times her teacher said: you don't have to learn more, just practice. Now she is practicing... she is frequently invited to gigs having four projects on the run.

For those who know Hungarian or just want to browse around, here is her (still Hungarian) Internet address: www.kristofkatalin.com

Szaszem - DJ Neon by TCP Szaszem (DJ Neon)

He is Transylvania's most prolific songwriter in this domain. He wrote more than 200 songs for different project in Transylvania and in Hungary too. He has not only songwriting abilities, but he has a small studio where he is his own sound engineer, but he is often asked to mix (or record) for others too. And if we talk about his abilities, this website's code also has been written by Szaszem (using Notepad, not some predefined templates!!!), but he is also a good cameraman, he used to turn and edit TCP's videos, and sometimes he is a cook, or even a driver when going to gigs. He is playing the synthesizer and the guitar. He started to learn to play music when he was 16, played also in the school's rock band as solo guitarist (!!!), but he's not so proud on his production from that time... He became not a live performer, but a studio musician with knife-sharp hearing.
